Chezza gets a big screen break

Cheryl Cole's not had a good year - she's been humiliated by TV mogul Simon Cowell and left heartbroken (again) by ex-hubby Ashley.

So what better way to stick two fingers up to the lot of them than by getting her pretty face on the silver screen?

Yes, according to the Daily Mail, Chezza's in "advanced talks" with movie bosses keen for her to make a cameo appearance in a big-budget film.

No more Paula Abdul and LA Reid... Cheryl will be rubbing shoulders with Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez for her role in What To Expect When You're Expecting.

A Hollywood insider told the Mail: "This is a bit of fun for Cheryl. She will film the scenes imminently and is really looking forward to it."
It was Cheryl's low-cut dress glamorous appearance at Cannes that first piqued film bosses' interest and after her X Factor sacking, a spot on the big screen is just what she needs to get Operation Crack America underway.

The source added: "It doesn't mean she suddenly wants to become an actress. It was just an opportunity that has come up while she has been having some down time and she thought it would be great fun to take part."

Yeah... that's what they all say.
