Battling against himself at the box office, Russell Brand saw two of his just-released films compete for the top spot at the box office over the weekend of April 8-10, 2011.
The British funnyman's bunny-based caper "Hop" ended up edging out the rest of the pack - claiming the pole position for the second straight week with an estimated $21.6 million in earnings.
Meanwhile, Brand's remake of the 1981 classic "Arthur" wound up garnering runner-up placement, as the film pulled in $12.6 million on opening weekend.
Rounding out the top five at the box office were the Cate Blanchett spearheaded film "Hanna" ($12.3 million), followed by "Soul Surfer" ($11.1 million) and "Insidious" ($9.7 million).
