The Number Devil by Hans Magnus Enzenberger - review

'You are submerged in wonderful ways of understanding maths'

Robert is always having bad dreams. Not to mention he is bad at maths. But one night, in his sleep, he meets the Number Devil, who is the creator of all maths.

So when the Number Devil decides to teach Robert, he begins to see the wonders of mathematics. He learns about the Fibonacci pattern (1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21 and so on) and other things as well.

As the adventure goes on you are submerged in wonderful ways of understanding maths.

Hans Magnus Enzenberger is a well respected writer from Germany and has written two books of poetry: The Sinking of the Titanic and Mausoleum.

This is his first book for kids, and if he was trying to make the book both interesting and fun at the same time, he has well and truly succeeded.
