Cheryl definitely NOT returning to X Factor US

Any hopes of a return to the judging panel of The X Factor US for Cheryl Cole have been dashed by the official confirmation of Nicole Scherzinger as a judge.

It had been reported that Fox execs were backtracking and had invited wor Chezza back - but now the door has been firmly closed.
A statement has been issued by the show's bosses, reading: "Fox, Fremantelemedia North America and Syco TV today confirm Nicole Scherzinger will be replacing Cheryl Cole on the judging panel of The X Factor.

"Nicole will join Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul on their search across America to find the next global superstar or group to win the life-changing $5 million dollar recording deal."

It's more bad news for Cheryl on the day that she's reported to have been dumped by her (pretend) boyfriend Derek Hough.
