When Lily Allen announced she was giving up music last year we all assumed it was because of the pressures of fame, after all - she can be a bit temperamental.But we were wrong! And she's admitted in a new interview that she actually quite likes being famous - she just couldn't get very excited about music any more.
Speaking to the Sunday Times Style magazine, she claimed that she also wanted to spend more time with fiancé Sam Cooper.
She said: "That's why I made that decision. It was never about... I feel disgusting talking about this, because it's like, I still want to be famous, I just don't want to sing.
"I knew I had to do something else, because I'm not wealthy enough not to work for the rest of my life. You don't get paid to be in magazines and I'm accustomed to living in a certain way. I like having my nice house and filling it with nice things.
"I'd like to be in that position for the rest of my life, so obviously I'm going to have to work."
Erm, can somebody check that this was the real Lily Allen and not Paris Hilton in disguise please?
One of the perks of beign famous is that you might get personal cookery lessons from Gordon Ramsay. Or is that a disadvantage?
