If you're anywhere near as nosy as we are, you'll be curious to know exactly what happened when Cheryl Cole was axed from the US X Factor.

But according to reports, we may never hear the truth if the geordie decides to accept a humongous £1.2m deal never to discuss what happened.

That's a lot of money just for keeping your gob shut.
According to the The Mirror, Cheryl has been offered the gagging deal because the producers don't want bad publicity surrounding the show. If she accepts the fee, Cheryl will effectively be unable to discuss her dismissal from the show or speak negatively about Simon Cowell in public.

Intriguing, we're sure you'll agree.

Also fascinating is what Cheryl's earnings will work out at if she does say yes. After spending just four days working on the show, the payment would equate to around £25,000 an hour.

A source allegedly told the paper: "Cheryl is going to be paid off if things go to plan.

"The last thing we need is someone with an axe to grind saying bad things about the show before it even starts.

"We hope a simple statement can be released next week and that will be the end of it. It's is an incredible amount of money for four days' work, but this is a multi-million dollar show with so much invested, it will be worth it. If she takes the money she is effectively agreeing to a gag."

What do you think? Should Cheryl take the money? Let us know below!
